Ah yes, I remember it well

In an earlier post. One good turn. I said I had taken photographs on a previous visit and that as I remembered to turning circle was around a green. These are the aforementioned snaps, found when searching for something of course and as you can see my memory was completely wrong.

Thinking ahead

It is universally acknowledged that a model railway in possession of an audience needs a name. With this in mind I took this picture for reference. A sign maker set up shop at the model railway exhibition I attended at the weekend. I remembered that I took this photo only after searching my bookshelves for a suitable picture. It just goes to prove that if you want something doing, do it yourself. Mind you it saves a lot if time if you remember that you have done it.

It takes all sorts

I doubt I will be getting many chocolate box makers trying to contact me for the rights to these pictures. Modellers might find them useful.

Railbus on the run

As I have said before most of my photographs are of targets of opportunity. These two are perfect examples. Taken on my all too brief visit to the Setesdalsbanen

It has SJ on the side but it is on the Norwegian Setesdalsbanen. On station pilot duties at Grovane.

Further South

Is this a railway? If so then my previous post made a false claim. This is at Lindesnes the southern tip of Norway.

Furthest South

Kristiansand station is the closest Norwegian railways gets to the Equator.

Ends of the line.

My pictures of this line suffer more than most from lack of time. I only had a chance to get there, do a quick return trip and then I had get the bus back to Mandal. It was well worth the effort but does mean my photos are less than ideal. I hope to get back to the Setesdalsbanen. Until then these will have to do.
