All change at Spikkestad
Spikkestad has changed. It has all the modern facilities, a bus shelter, a ticket machine and charging points for electric cars in the car park.

The 10.05 to Spikkestad
Many years ago I took a trip to Spikkestad. For no reason other than to see what there was to see. This year I made a return visit. The service was still operated by Class 69 emus but the livery has changed. The train from Moss at Oslo S.

End of the walk
By a rather indirect route from Movatn, I finally found my way to Kjelsas. The tram shed is now a Kultur- og ungdomshus. Still has timetables on the wall though.

Minor mystery
You will not find Sandemosen station in current timetables. As you can see it had a substantial station building and a passing loop. Yet it is now closed, but the halt like Snippen station is still operational. I wonder what the story is behind the change in fortunes.

Unplanned movements
Whenever I visit Oslo I always try to spend sometime at Movatn. For some reason this has usually been in the early evening, so this year, I thought I would visit in the morning for a change, to see if the light was better for photography. The weather was overcast and the summer timetable meant that I was soon walking around and finished up walking back to Kjelsas. A pleasant morning despite the clouds weight loss programme, but not what was planned. However before my departure this works train came through.

Enlightenment
My post on the 11th January this year had pictures of a mystery diesel I came across in Notttoden. In the shed at Bingfoss, the intermediate station on the Urskog-Holansbanen, is a sibling. Furthermore my information is there may be a family reunion.

Remember this is Norway
On the day I visited the UHB there was a bus replacement service from Oslo to Sorumsand. As we were pulling away from here, a man came up the stairs marked by the red board and attracted the drivers attention. Did the driver keep moving or stop and wait for him? Remember this is Norway.
